CharterSUITE is formally approved for use in submitting Customs Manifests under the new UN/EDIFACT rules.

Important:  I put many error traps into the software to try to keep you from submitting erroneous information to the CBP.  However, I recognize that many of you will either not be using the APIS portion of the program, or you will be flying most of your flights domestically and do not wish to fill-in all of the information required by the TSA.  Thus, the ADD PASSENGER section will allow adding as little or as much information as you wish.  Most missing information will be caught at the time the manifests are prepared, but do not rely on the program to catch all of the information.  DO NOT RELY ON THE SOFTWARE TO SOLELY CHECK YOUR INFORMATION.  You are responsible for the content.

The following documents contain all of the information that is required for transmitting the information on each passenger and crewmember.  It's a lot of information, but it's worth spending an hour or so reviewing the submission requirements. Please visit www.CBP.gov, click on TRAVEL, then under QUICK LINKS click on the APIS link.

I've tried to make it as easy as possible for you to comply with these new regulations, but it will still require diligence on your part to be in full compliance.

Please advise your assigned APIS coordinator that you are now using CharterSUITE under the new UN/EDIFACT submission rules.

Thank you,

Tom Sylvester, Inc.
